Shristi was founded by a group of social scientists, engineers, technical specialists and informed social workers with a vast inter-disciplinary experience of professional work. Subsequent teams have been constantly formed by people from diverse backgrounds and interests coming together to work for a common cause of awareness, empowerment and upliftment.
K.K.Srivastava : President, Shristi
A chemical engineer by profession, he has more than 40years of professional experience in the areas of Process Design, Start-Up, Commissioning, diagnostic study and trouble shooting of a number of chemical plants. He has been actively involved with the development of income generating projects through application of appropriate technologies.
S.C.Bhargava: Vice- President, Shristi
An Economist who has worked in various renowned research institutions and specializes in the field of infrastructure and social studies, evaluation studies and market research.
Hemant Mukhopadhyay: Chief Executive Officer
An experienced administrator, he has a rich experience spanning more than 25 years in planning, implementation and monitoring of numerous studies, workshops, seminars and skill development workshops for handicraft artisans in various crafts.
Chitra Mukherjee: Chief Operating Officer
Over 15 years experience in general administration, documentation and formulating field strategies. Actively working for the empowerment of the rural sector and in the handicrafts and woman and child health sector. Core skills are project management and implementation. Has been a Project Coordinator for social and developmental studies for various ministries and state organizations.
Sanjay Das: Marketing Coordinator
An engineer with 25 years experience in developing strategy for product marketing, sales and promotion, he has been actively involved in marketing and promotion of handicrafts. Has in depth expertise which includes business development, strategic market planning and merchandising operations.
Maloy Dutta : Chief Manager, Craft Resource Centre, Kolkata
An enterprising craftsman and businessman who has created a niche market in glazed pottery, he is involved in constant redesigning, reinventing and bringing about excellent innovations in the traditional craft of terracotta and ceramics and giving it a contemporary and global look.
Pinaki Dasgupta: Secretary, Shristi
A chemical engineer with over 10 years of experience in policy oriented research studies, project formulation and appraisal. Also involved in design review, documentation of projects, field surveys and investigation of project progress, monitoring, liaisoning, project engineering including computer database management, programming, risk scenario evaluation using different softwares.
B.Surendran: Treasurer, Shristi
An IT professional working on implementing content management systems, developing social media engagement strategies he has been working with several non profit organisations for the last 6 years. He has considerable experience in organization building, finance, administration and implementing ICT solutions for various organizational needs.
