Shristi conducts studies in Health sector like monitoring and evaluation studies, cost analysis studies, resource survey and analysis, feasibility studies etc. which are focused and goal oriented.
 
Shristi has completed two studies for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
 
Cost analysis of Family Planning and RCH Services including Immunization in six states of India namely Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Orissa and Tamil Nadu
 
The study involved conducting primary survey of 48 Service Providers namely Government hospitals, Private hospitals and NGOS/Trusts and 960 beneficiaries.
 
The following aspects were broadly studied:
  • Review of key RCH Services delivered by NGOs; Growth of beneficiaries over the period; Composition of beneficiaries by age, socio-economic status and health problem.
  • Cost analysis of the family planning services and RCH services including Immunization services among the public sector hospitals, the private sector hospitals (not looking at high cost facilities) and the NGO sector.
  • Perception of beneficiaries on the RCH Services; Problems and Suggestions related to Accessibility, Acceptability, Cost and Quality of Services.
  • Analysis of Problems, Constraints and Inadequacies hindering the expected growth of RCH services faced by NGOs.
 
On the basis of the findings of the study in different Regions, a Costing, Feasibility and Development of RCH Package(s) was developed for the MHFW, Govt. of India.
 
Cost of RCH Services in the rural areas of selected districts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh
 
The project identified the cost of key RCH services delivered by Private health service providers.
 
The following aspects were studied:
  • Cost of key RCH Services delivered by Private Health Care Centres catering mainly to (more than 50%) Low Income Households (LIG) at the block level in the rural districts of Rajasthan and UP;

     

  • Interest of the Private health service providers in providing a package of basic RCH services as per government guidelines for a prescribed cost to the LIG households in return for government accreditation and to explain the benefits of a government franchise to the health service providers.
